    Director

    With an inate love of the land, Noel possesses a wealth of knowledge and experience, amassed over 20 years, delivering projects that are unique, responsive and of place.

    Very much doing his bit for the Planet, with a particular emphasis on projects that include biodiversity as a key driver, Noel has a proven track record working in the landscape design industry, focusing on Green Infrastructure, Environmental Awareness, Habitat Construction, and Sustainable Design.

    Noel was the first Irish member of Green Roof Organisation and avid supporter of Irish Pollinator Plan. Noel has also given talks on his work, fostering the same passion for the environment in the future generation as custodians of the planet.

    Noel has a PGDip Environmental Conservation Management focused in Natural Resources Conservation and Research from University College Dublin.

  • Conall Kelly

    Landscape Architect

    A Landscape Architect with over 10 years experience. Conall studied Landscape architecture with ecology at the University of Sheffield before gaining valuable experience in a large multidisciplinary consultancy.

    Conall has worked on an extensive range for projects from small scale Chelsea Show Gardens to City Centre regeneration and international expos.

    Seeking a more hands-on role and a desire to take a more nature-based approach, Conall joined Sweeney Landscape Design in 2021, bringing a diverse skill set, fresh design approach and a rich understanding of both landscape and ecological processes. Sustainability, resilience and innovation are at the core of his designs.

  • Michael Small

    Project Manager

    With a background in Landscape Architecture and Civil Engineering, Michael brings a practical yet sensitive approach to the interaction between our natural and built environment.

    After gaining design based experience in both Toronto and London, Michael moved to the role of operations manager with a landscape design and build company. During this time he gained a valuable understanding of climate resilient landscaping – including the delivery of a community rain garden and drought tolerant pocket park in North London.

    Excited by the creativity and focus on nature based solutions, Michael joined Sweeney Landscape Design in 2020. As Project Manager he covers a variety of roles – from working closely with our landscape teams to deliver quality workmanship, to ensuring our clients design expectations are met and within budget.
